Recorded from the seats on the right side, approx. 35 - 40 meters away from the stage. Great seats and a good recording spot. No annoying whistlers around me and just some clapping here and there which I have removed BUT…….and here comes the but…………the sound was somehow not good at all when the show started and I saw the recording being spoiled right from the start. Exactly 21:38 min into the show the volume on my side all of a sudden EXPLODED. That’s when I started to realize that a whole PA stack on the outer right side hadn’t been working at all until then. I guess the housekeeper must have found a mysterious switch which he decided to flick ;-). For the next couple of minutes the volume was just insane and almost unbearable. When I looked at my wife’s face I thought she was in a real state of shock because she had never experienced a volume like that before. I actually thought she would start to cry………..needless to say I really enjoyed it (the volume, I mean…… ;-). From then on the recording sounds much better and clearer than it does in the beginning.

Some volume balancing (for obvious reasons) and some light re-mastering done (according to my personal taste) but all in all I tried to keep this recording as close to the original as possible. Please be sure to check out the sample before downloading.

Like many other hardcore AC/DC fans I was rather doubtful when I heard who was going to take Brian’s place on those dates but I most honestly say Axl nailed it by all means and in the end I am more than glad that I went. For AC/DC standards the setlist on this leg of the tour was sensational and Axl’s voice is simply a perfect match, especially for the Bon-era songs. Hearing “Touch too much” live was something I have been waiting for for almost 37 years…………….unbelievable that they actually decided to put this one into the setlist even though I must say, the song, as great as it may be on record, just doesn’t work live for me. Don’t know why…………..

The crowd attendance that night was rather disappointing….”only” 25.000 people (according to the local press) which is rather unusual for an AC/DC show………guess it was due to their vocalist who may have kept many fans away. Well, they have missed out on something very special because the concert was simply great from start to finish and I guess it was a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see ‘em with this line-up. Let’s hope the news is true that Brian is recovering and who knows, maybe this wasn’t even the last tour.
