1st generation tapes mailed to }{eywood for mastering by Rush-Fan
Although this show may be circulating already, most collectors have unknown generation copies. Rush-Fan has provided me with many first gens of Priest shows (he traded with the taper), and I am dutifully bringing them to a wider audience.
This is one of several consecutive nights Karl recorded. As with the others the low end was brought down a bit on this because the kick drums were overpowering. Other than that no invasive processing was applied. Patches in the intro to Riding on the Wind and in You've Got Another Thing Comin' were made from the following night's show in Oakland.
These are the good end of the Painkiller tour. Halford was still peaking in his vocal abilities. Touch of Evil is notably harder to sing than on the album. Amazing.
